Melvin D. Osborne, born on November 18, 1943, in Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at 8:45 PM. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1968, completing two tours of duty overseas.

Mel was a devoted husband to Paula Osborne until her passing and then to Virginia "Jenny" Osborne for the remainder of his life. He is survived by his five children: Greg Osborne (sp Delora Osborne and their children Matthew, Tori, & 8 great grandchildren), Eric Osborne (his children Dylan and Brooke), Tom Wolfe (sp Catherine Wolfe and his children Thomas and Grant), Jimmy Wolfe (sp Melissa Wolfe and their children Samantha, Emily, Benjamin, Kaylee, Kiara, & Mia), and Michelle Reuter (sp Nathan Reuter and their children Wyatt and Lauren).

Mel's legacy of service, love, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His unwavering commitment to his family and his community was evident in every aspect of his life. Mel was known for his kindness, generosity, and the positive impact he had on those around him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he influenced and the love he shared with everyone he met.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 12:00pm at Eastside Church in Marietta, Georgia. The family will receive friends and visitors for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Osborne will be laid to rest with his wife on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10:00am at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
