Nellie Ruth Carlisle, 81 of Marietta, passed away, Thursday, December 5, 2019.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, December 11th in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Georgia National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.  Mrs. Carlisle was born in Alabama, her family moved to LaGrange, Georgia where she grew up, she moved to Marietta in 1956.  Mrs. Carlisle retired from AT&T.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Survivors include, her husband, David Eugene "Gene" Carlisle of Marietta; sons, Randy (Joy) Carlisle of Kennesaw, Ronnie (Kellie) Carlisle of Acworth and Donnie (Teresa) Carlisle of Kennesaw; brother, Jesse T. (Marie) Boyd of LaGrange; (7) grandchildren, Christy Godfrey, Jonathan Carlisle, Jessica Peterson, Nikki Fernando, Randy Joering, Blake Carlisle and Jake Carlisle; (13) great grandchildren.   The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, December 10th from 6-8 pm at Marietta Funeral Home 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA  30066, 770.422.1234.
