Norma Jean Gresham Dempsey, born on August 16, 1933, peacefully passed away on April 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was not just a mother but also a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love and care extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of multiple generations. As a mother, Jean was involved in her children's activities and supported her girls in their endeavors. As a grandmother, she showered her grandchildren with affection and wisdom, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. And as a great-grandmother, she delighted in the joy and innocence of the newest additions to the family, leaving a lasting legacy of love and devotion for generations to come.

Jean's role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was central to her identity, and her impact on her family will be remembered and celebrated always.

In her free time, Jean enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Jean enjoyed traveling, playing tennis and going to the beach with friends and family.

Jean is survived by her three daughters; Angela Darlene Dempsey, Pamela Dempsey Rittweger (Tom), and Sondra Jean Classey. Four granddaughters; Blair Classey (Barry), Whitney Classey, Shelby Rittweger Galvin (John), and Callie Rittweger Velez (Jesse). And four great grandsons; Nicholas, Brayden, Landon, and Jack.

Jean will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory will live on in our hearts forever.

She will be laid to rest at Mountain View Park Cemetery, Marietta, Georgia with a private family service.
