Olga Susan Rodriguez passed away on September 18, 2024 at the age of 95.

She is survived by her daughters Dilia Goforth and Nydia Hanna, her granddaughters; Kristie Hanna, Rebecca Bush, Melanie Goforth, Michelle Mena Villal, and Kelly Hanna, and her great grandchildren; Cate Blue Schroeder, Dalton Bush, Sebastian Mena Villal, Dominic Prolizo, Everly Mena Villal, Carmen Mena Villal, and Willa Mena Villal. She will join her husband, William G. Rodriguez, in eternal rest at the Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10:00 am.

She was born to Miguel Baldassari-Ocasio and Carmen Rosas-Silva in New York City on June 20th, 1929. As a youth, Sue attended the High School of Music and Art in New York City and studied painting where she excelled in oil and watercolor painting. She went on to be a loving mother and wife, elementary school Grey Lady, Grants and Contracts Administrator at the College of William and Mary, and Financial Analyst at Lockheed. More than her professional achievements, Sue was an excellent "body ball" player, bedtime story teller, art teacher to her great grandchildren, exceptional culinarian of Puerto Rican cuisine, political activist, jewelry maker, scrapbook creator, genealogist, Lutheran youth counselor and confidant to her daughters and granddaughters. Her legacy carries on in her yet unpublished collection of stories about living in New York City during the Depression and WWII, her infinite humor, and her everlasting love of her family. Her passing will echo in each of us as we walk through our lives embodying her strength of character and love of family.
