Obituary

Pamela Marie Dorwarth, 74, of Panama City Beach, Fla, passed away Saturday, November 27,
2021, in Marietta, GA surrounded by her loving sons and grandchildren.

Born Feb 25, 1947, in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of Harriet Dorwarth and William
Dorwarth. She is survived by three children, Joseph W. and Jacob A. Sternagle, both of Marietta
GA., and Kelly McElhenney. She is also survived by two sisters, Cynthia Klinesmith, Debra
Isenberg, and three brothers, Thomas, William, and James Dorwarth.

Affectionately known as Purple Pam for her wardrobe and accessories always in her favorite
color. She was a champion for people with special needs and disabilities working to educate
others on diversity and disability rights. She served as a member of the U.S. Access board,
selected by President George W. Bush, among many other positions she held to advocate for
Americans with disabilities and people in need. Her accomplishments are too many to list here,
but her work provided help to the voiceless, and it gave hope to those with disabilities that
their lives were not one of restrictions, but endless possibilities to live productive and
meaningful lives with equal rights. Her presence will be forever missed and never forgotten. We
love you mom, Jacob and Joseph.

Pamela's sons are holding a private memorial service for immediate family only.
