Patricia Ruth Hulsey Smith passed away on May 24, 2023.

A resident of Fairburn, Georgia, Pat is reunited with her beloved husband, Todd Smith, who passed away in October 2018 and her brother David (Ann). She is survived by her son, Timothy Smith of Marietta; her daughter Heather Couch of Fairburn; beloved granddaughters Avery Smith and Hannah Couch, as well as her brothers Dan Hulsey (Martha), Randall (Cindy), Terry (Linda) and Jerry (Karen).

Pat was born in Murrayville, Georgia in 1943 to the late Lloyd and Annie Ruth Hulsey. After graduating from North Hall High School, she attended Young Harris College, where she met and married Todd in 1961. Over the next 57 years, they remained deeply devoted to each other through all of life's ups and downs, exchanging hundreds of letters that document their great love story. They shared a love of dancing, "oldies" music, camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with their children and extended family. Pat always had a Diet Coke in her hand and was known for her wit and infectious smile. Among friends, she was always the life of the party.

While she had a successful career in the energy industry – rising from the typing pool to senior accountant -- Pat's dedication to her husband and family was the most important thing in her life. Her kindness and generosity extended to anyone she came in contact with, and she will be remembered fondly by all.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Marietta Funeral Home.
