Patsy Ann Turner, 91, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

She was born in May of 1931 in Roxboro, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Calvin Daniel and Elma Earlene Long Daniel. Patsy learned to work hard as a child growing up on a farm, helping her parents after school and during the summer. She continued this work ethic, faithfully following her military husband on his tours of duty, and working as an administrative assistant in the Civil Service. Upon her retirement, she and her husband moved to Georgia, and joined Noonday Baptist Church, where she has been a member for 34 years.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:30am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Noonday Baptist Church at the East Campus location, with the remains placed in state at the church from 10:30am-11:30am.  The Rev. Larry Sandidge and Dr. Mark Somers will officiate.  Interment will follow at 1:30pm, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Banks F. Turner. Survivors include her daughter, Jo Ann Montgomery (Jim) of Canton, GA; son, Mike Turner (Debbie) of Sharpsburg, GA; grandchildren, Kelly Hendricks, Nick Dudley, Tiffany Turner Reynolds and Amy Turner Curtin; and (5) great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Linwood Daniel, and two sisters, Jean Averette and Linda Slaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Noonday Baptist Church, also at the East Campus location, from 10:30am-11:30am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
