Paul Russell Fine, 74, of Marietta, passed away on May 29th.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.  More details will be posted on this page.

Paul was born in New York and spent most of his childhood in Chicago.  He attended the University of Illinois Chicago for undergrad and Northwestern Kellogg School of Management for his graduate degree.  He went on to have a successful marketing career that took him to cities like Cincinnati (P&G), Pittsburgh (Beecham), Minneapolis (Pillsbury) and finally Bloomington, IL (Nestle Beich).

While working at Beecham, Paul met Ramona through his secretary who was Ramona's best friend.  After dating for two years, they got married in 1978 and enjoyed 46 years together.

In his free time, Paul loved playing cards (poker and pinochle), golfing, movies, target shooting and working on home improvement projects.  He had a love for oldies music which was always playing in the car on family road trips.  His soft side included a love for animals including dogs, bunnies and frogs…or whatever pet his daughters left him to take care of!

As a child, Paul was a Boy Scout and those qualities carried through his entire life:  always prepared and eager to help.  He had a love, and an incredible gift, for helping people.  He was the first to lend a hand to anyone that needed it or be a voice to get things done.

Paul was a devoted husband, incredible father and wonderful Geepa/Peepaw.  He always put his family first and did everything he could for them.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Paul is survived by his wife, Ramona; daughters, Jackie Fine (Aaron Rolka) of Roswell, Jessica Fine (Daniel Dombrowsky) of Los Angeles and four grandchildren (Ben, Charlie, Ellie and Frankie); brother, Mark (Allyson) of North Carolina; sister, Rena of Los Angeles; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his Father, Arthur and Mother, Rae.
