Paul H. Waddell, Sr., 82, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020.   A memorial service will be held 3pm Monday, January 20th in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Fain officiating.

Mr. Waddell was born in Atlanta, GA on August 23, 1937 and resided in Marietta, GA for most of his life. Paul attended Marietta High School where he lettered in football and baseball. He was a member of the 1955 Marietta Blue Devil graduating class. After graduating from Marietta High School, he attended Mississippi State University and the University of Georgia. Mr. Waddell was in the insurance industry for over 35 years, he was an avid golfer, and was a very loyal Georgia Bulldog fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Waddell was preceded in death by his father, William Lawrence Waddell, Sr., his mother, Virginia Lee Martin Waddell, sister, Barbara Ann Waddell Martin, brothers; William Lawrence Waddell, Jr. and James Wayne Waddell. He is survived by his sisters; Patsy Lee Waddell and Claudette Deloris Waddell Poole as well as his three children, daughters; Wendy Leigh Waddell LeMieux, Jennifer Paige Waddell McCoy, and son, Paul (Anita) Heath Waddell, Jr. Grandchildren; Ashley and Ansley Gasaway, Beau Bodiford, Camille and Davis Waddell and two great grandchildren Keegan and Colton Bodiford as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.
