Reba Susan Carlile, 90, of Marietta, GA, went to be with the lord, Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Ms. Carlile was born November 29, 1934, in Marietta, Georgia, to George Bettis Carlile and Grace (Duncan) Carlile. She is survived by her sister, Eugenia Webb, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Carlile, and three sisters; Louise Huey, Winnie Kennedy, and Marjorie Mills.

She was employed by the Georgia Army National Guard in Atlanta, GA for many years, and upon retirement held several short-term jobs, then was employed at Lockheed Georgia Company until she retired again.

Sue had many talents, including piano, ceramics, coin collecting, reading (especially Christian materials), and keeping up with the latest news. She also enjoyed traveling with her friends and visiting many favorite historical sites. She especially enjoyed her nieces and nephews in their early years.

Sue was a generous person. She loved to do favors for people. She was unmarried for most of her life and often babysat for nieces and nephews. She always offered to help when she saw a need.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 2:30pm in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and visitors for one hour prior to the service.
