Rebecca Posey Kohl, born Rebecca Lynn Posey, was born on May 18, 1954, and left this earthly world to be with her Savior on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Becky grew up in Bremen, Georgia, and graduated from the University of West Georgia before moving to Atlanta and marrying Larry Kohl. There she established herself as a bright and well-accomplished businesswoman, working at Oxford Industries for almost 10 years before moving into her most fitting role as Mother. Becky and Larry moved to Marietta in 1984 and quickly established a family – bringing first Katherine and then Emily into the world. Becky was a faithful employee at both Sewell Mill Baptist Church and Preschool for over 20 years, where she shared the fondest of memories with fellow teachers and friends. Becky was an avid tennis player and found herself on many state winning teams – she shared the love of the game with her daughters and taught them the thrill of competition. 

 Becky is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Larry; her two daughters, Katherine and Emily; her mother, Minnie Belle; her grand-dog, Chaco; her two brothers and sisters-in-love, Richard and Peggy Posey, and Alan and Bonnie Posey; her brother and sister-in-love, Richard and Linda Kohl; and her sister-in-love, Linda Schoeppner; a treasured group of nieces and nephews; and countless friends that she considered family. 

 Becky is predeceased by her father, James Newton Posey; her father and mother-in-love, Walter and Faye Kohl; her nephew, Jackson Posey; and her niece, Janelle Osborn. 

 The family will receive visitors at Marietta Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM with a memorial service starting at 12:00PM noon. 

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Becky's honor to  Wellstar Community Hospice  . 

 All those that knew Becky, loved and cherished her.
