On December 12, 2023, Riley Dean Parker of Atlanta, Georgia died peacefully at home at the age of 48. He lived a fulfilling life and will be missed immensely by his family, friends, and community.

Riley was born in 1975 to Peggy Irene Hill and Robert "Mickey" Parker in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Lassiter High School class of 1994. He would later become a veterinary technician, where he loved and cared for each animal that crossed his path, including 6 Boxers that he raised through the years as beloved companions. He believed in the innocent souls of animals and felt a desire to protect and heal.

Riley's kind and protective nature helped prepare him to later serve within his community. He graduated from Roswell Fire Academy in 2010, achieving the rank of Lieutenant while serving with Mt. Park Fire department. Over the course of his tenure there, he helped many people and valued the opportunity and honor to serve his community.

Riley met the love of his life, Corri Harakas, in 1995. The two were married in 2001, and thereafter they built a beautiful life together in Marietta with their three children. Being a dad was what he loved the most and what he was best at, and he loved his children more than anything.

Riley was a big, lovable goofball who liked to make sure everyone was having a good time. He loved to travel, and he and his wife and children took many trips to the beach, which was his favorite place to be other than on his motorcycle with his buddies. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves and especially cheering them on with his friends!

Those who knew Riley will remember his wonderful laugh, his generosity, his love of life, and that joyful twinkle in his eyes. He will be greatly missed.

Riley is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Corri; daughters, Alexis and Ella; son, Ryan; mother, Peggy; brother, Justin and sister-in-law, Shanon; sisters, Grace and Danielle; nephew, Max; niece, Sydney, and so many others who will remember him with love.

The family will receive visitors at Marietta Funeral Home on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 2:00PM-4:00PM.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Riley's honor in the chapel at Marietta Funeral Home on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 4:00PM.
