Robert (Bobby) Weston Thomas of Roswell, Georgia passed away on October 29, 2026. One of millions who suffered from Long Covid and the vaccines, he first contracted the virus in September 2021.

Robert was born on December 5, 1946, in Dublin, Georgia to Emory Earl Thomas and Mary Keats Thomas.

Bobby grew up in Savannah and graduated from Herschel V. Jenkins HS in 1965. He earned his BBA degree from Armstrong State College. He spent 7 years in the Air Force Reserves and Georgia Air National Guard. In 1972, he was employed by Savannah First Federal. In 1999, he was employed by New South Federal for their residential construction production in Georgia.

For almost 33 years he provided financing for numerous new subdivisions and hundreds of new single-family houses. He deeply appreciated all of his customers, some of the relationships dating back over thirty years.

He was a total golf addict and enjoyed many fun rounds with his friends. He was a committed fan of UGA Football. After retiring he created a monthly fun newsletter to keep all of his high school classmates connected.

Bobby married his college sweetheart Jacquelynn Myers on September 25, 1971. She made his life very happy for over 55 years. Bobby is also survived by sons Ryan Myers Thomas and Robert Christopher Thomas, and his daughter-in-law, Mandy Thomas. “Papa Bob” was also blessed with his granddaughter and four grandsons.
