Rose Marie Linthecome, a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and generous spirit, passed into eternal rest on November 8, 2025. Born May 10, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to A.Q. and Myrtle Evans, Rose was the fourth of seven children and grew up in a home filled with love, laughter, and strong family ties.

After graduating from Arsenal Technical High School in 1967, Rose began her professional journey at the Finance Center before dedicating over 30 years to the medical field at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. In 1972, she married her beloved husband, Larry Linthecome, and together they raised two children, Jacqulyn LaShawn and Larry Keith. Rose and Larry shared a love of travel, often exploring new places together and creating lasting memories. She also cherished traveling with her sisters, treasuring the time spent in each other's company.

Later in life, Rose moved to Powder Springs, Georgia, where she found deep fulfillment working with children at Trinity Chapel School. Her students were more than part of her job—they were part of her heart. She poured love, patience, and encouragement into every child she cared for, and her presence left a lasting impact on the school community.

Rose's love for her family ran deep, especially for her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was fiercely devoted to them, always present with encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support.  She was always available for a late night call. Her grandchildren were her heart—they brought her immeasurable joy and energy, and she lit up in their presence. Though she was known as a firm disciplinarian who believed in structure and respect, her family knew that one smile, one sweet moment, could soften her instantly. Her love was steady, her expectations clear, and her affection boundless. She was their safe place.

Rose had a keen eye for beauty. She was an avid doll collector, a lover of jewelry, and a talented home decorator who took pride in creating warm, welcoming spaces. Her style reflected her personality—graceful, thoughtful, and full of life.

Above all, Rose was a praying woman. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her actions and sustaining her through every season. Baptized at Eastern Star Baptist Church and later a devoted member of Grace Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, she lived her beliefs with conviction and unwavering devotion.

She now reunites in Heaven with her husband Larry, her son Larry Keith, her parents A.Q. and Myrtle Evans, and her siblings Linda Michelle Washington, Austin Evans, and Celesta Hunt. She is survived by her daughter Jacqulyn LaShawn Linthecome; grandchildren Anthony Quin, Grace Marie, and Emerie Faith Linthecome; siblings Erma Jean White, Barbra Anne Harrell (Lathaniel), and Rev. Ronnie L. Evans (Pamela); and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Rose's life was a reflection of love, faith, and service. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched—with every prayer she whispered, every child she nurtured, and every space she made more beautiful.
