Rose Ann Swanson, aka Memaw, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to everyone. She left this world to join the love of her life on December 27, 2021, at the age of 87.

She was born to Salvatore and Bertha DiPuma on July 4, 1934. After graduating from high school, Memaw chased her dreams to become an accomplished opera singer. Soon thereafter, she met her husband, Bruce and they had a love affair for over 45 years. Together, they had 4 children: Erin, Meghan, Shannon, and Bruce. She loved her 7 grandchildren (Jordan, Emily, Brigette, Morgan, Brett, Katie-Mae, and Will) and 2 great grandchildren Oliver and Giovanni. Memaw also leaves behind her beloved daughter-in-law, Erin, and son-in-laws: Larry, Robert, and Pat, and her grand-son-in-law, Zach.

Memaw traveled the world as a Naval Officer's wife. She loved socializing and entertaining. She was often found in the kitchen cooking or making her famous pickles which she passed along to her kids. She also loved to fish with Bruce and took countless trips to Minaki, Canada or local lakes. She was always prepared for a shoreline lunch!

Memaw never knew a stranger and always opened her arms and home to everyone. She was spunky, spirited, and had a passion for life!

All family and friends are welcome to join us at a luncheon and celebration of life on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, beginning at 11:30 am at the Events on Main located at 145 W. Main Street, Suite 100, Canton, GA. A private family graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
