In cherished memory of Rosette Marie Sylvestre, our Angel. She was a wife, a mother, a sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, a cousin, and a friend. She loved unconditionally. She was true to her faith and devoted to God. Rosette was a beautiful and elegant lady, yet simple, humble, and kind-hearted.

Rosette enjoyed being with her family and was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a selfless, loving human being who sacrificed for the wants and needs of her family. She hurt when we hurt. She laughed when we laughed. She cried when we cried. She was sick when we were sick. She loved us more and harder. She followed the way of Jesus. She taught us to love and forgive. She prayed faithfully for us. Even through trials and tribulations, she never ceased. Our mom was the glue that kept our family together. Rosette was love!

Rosette's kindness had no limitations; she was filled with compassion. Her heart was open to everyone, and everyone loved her. She had an infectious smile; she was very soft-spoken and had a gentle touch. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, no matter your race or background. Rosette loved shopping, cooking, going to church, listening to music, and enjoyed dancing and going to the theater.

Most of all, Rosette loved her family. We now know why she fought so hard through her pain-stricken and ailing body. She held on and suffered because she was afraid to let us go. She did not want us to hurt. She did not want us to feel the pain. She knew we would not and could not do it without her. She knew she was needed. She knew she was our rock.

No one compares to Rosette's beauty--inside and out. We called her Mom, Rosie, Zette, or Grandma. It is with heartfelt sadness that we say goodbye to a woman who touched the lives of so many. Rosette's wisdom and her legacy of love will always be with us. Our only peace is knowing that she is with God and no longer suffering. She will always be in our hearts until we meet again. Farewell our sweet mother, rest now. We love you, Mom!

Rosette Marie Sylvestre was born on February 10, 1942 to the late Roger and Martha Day. She was called home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2019. Rosette is survived by her husband, Leclair, and her four children, Joanne, Petrovna, Clery, and Vladimir; her fourteen grandchildren, Genevieve, Schnia-Anne, Tahje, Jahmai, Emmanuel, Elijah, Jaden, Noah, Jacob, Sariah, Kylie, Joshua, David, and Nakita; her four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ivan, Nova-Rose and Haven; her sisters, Marlene and Jacqueline, and her brother, Lesly; her nephews, Levans, Reginald, Patrick, and Alix; her nieces, Maritza, Marclaine, and Marisha; her great-nephews and nieces, Adrea, Julian, Secquora, Michael, Micah, and Abigail; her daughters-in-law, Sherryann and Verlana.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 25 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Father Larry Niese officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, October 24th and 9:00am to 10:00am on Friday, October 25th, at Marietta Funeral Home.
