Sandra Gail (Lewis) Livingston of Douglasville, GA, passed away on January 25, 2024.  Sandy was born on March 15, 1948, in Cumberland, KY to Estel and Anna Pauline (Holcomb) Lewis.  The family moved to Lexington, KY, and then finally to Hamilton, OH.  She had 11 siblings.  She raised her children in Okeana, OH, before moving to Georgia in 1987.

Sandy loved the beach and spent many vacations covered in sand.  She also enjoyed going to casinos and was luckier than most.  She had an incredible work ethic that she passed to her children, retiring as an office administrator in 2013.  She loved spending time with family, especially at the holidays.  She was very welcoming and treated anyone who came to her house as family.  She also loved her Yorkies, Daisy and Duke.  She was very loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Livingston, sons, James Mercer and Gary (Sharon) Mercer, daughter Veronica (Howard Williams) Mercer; grandchildren Lindsey Mercer, Cade Mercer, Brandon (Katie) Whitaker, Todd Whitaker and Danielle Burke.  She is also survived by her sisters, Janie (Bill) Hammons, Anna Ruth Borup and her brother William (Bill) Lewis.  She has 3 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail and Molly Whitaker.   She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings, James David Lewis, Cecil Jo Lewis, Brenda Smith, Linda Kay Brewer, Frances Lewis and Connie Staples.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Marietta Funeral Home in Marietta, GA at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning at noon.
