Scott Allen Oglesby, 69, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Born in Fulton County, Scott was the son of Jack Oglesby of Sandy Springs, and Jane Oglesby of Winder. He was self employed and worked for Elmcroft of Roswell. He attended college in Hollywood, Florida.

Scott was preceded in death by both of his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Elrod Oglesby, who he married on February 1, 2008. He is survived by bonus children, Misti Carter of Cartersville, and Nick (Xuan) Carter of Cartersville; grandson, William Fraser of Acworth; granddaughter, Layla Carter of Cartersville; brothers, David (Sandy) Oglesby of Marietta, Robert Oglesby of Stokesdale, NC; sisters, Kristy Hartsfield Womer of Athens, and Renee Oglesby of Sandy Springs. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and one great-nephew.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 5:00pm in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and visitors for one hour prior to the service.
