Shawn Robert McDowell, 58, of Marietta, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020.  A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00pm Saturday, November 7 ^th at Marietta Funeral Home 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA  30066.

Mr. McDowell retired from Lockheed as a machinist.  Shawn loved the outdoors and had a passion for hunting, fishing and raising chickens.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.  He especially enjoyed summers fishing with his grandson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert McDowell; his mother, Barbara McDowell; maternal grandparents, Addie Mae White and W.M. White; paternal grandmother, Josephine McDowell. Survivors include his son, Robert Currie McDowell of Jasper; daughter, Wendy Michelle McDowell of Ball Ground and one grandson, Ashton Free Kelly of Rockmart.
