Shirley Goss Tillman, age 71, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on December 14, 2021.   The family will receive friends and family beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Piedmont Church of Christ, in Marietta, Georgia.   A memorial service shall be held at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with the burial immediately following at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.

Shirley was the youngest of six children born to Herbert Goss and Verdie (Moody) Goss in Jesup, Georgia. Shirley graduated from Wayne County High School.  Shirley retired as a budget analyst with the State of Georgia after nearly twenty-five years of service. Shirley loved to travel and spend time with friends and family, especially her husband and grandchildren.  Shirley visited thirty-three states and dozens of countries in Europe, North America, and the Caribbean.

Shirley is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-five years, Joe Floyd Tillman Sr.; sons, Joe "Rocky" Floyd Tillman Jr. of Douglasville, Georgia, and John "Stoney" Preaster Tillman (Grace) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher Brett Tillman, Sarah Verdie Tillman, Hannah Margaret Tillman, and John Armand Tillman.  Shirley's infectious laugh and kind spirit will be missed by everyone who had the honor of meeting her.
