Obituary

Stephanie Suzanne Crenshaw Park passed away on September 11, 2026, in Marietta, GA. For 50 years, she brought energy, laughter, and warmth to everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy built on generosity and an indisputable spark that touched everyone in her orbit.

After surviving the early loss of her mother, Gladys Zapico, Stephanie was adopted by her aunt,The Honorable Jeanne Dawes Crenshaw, in Gainesville, FL. Stephanie also lived with her loving grandmother, Jean Dawes Manley, also of Gainesville.Stephanie graduated from Buchholz High School in Gainesville, FL, where she was voted "Best Personality" — a befitting superlative that she exemplified the rest of her life. She went on to Florida State University, where she was a proud member of the Tri Sigma Sorority, earning her Bachelor's degree in Communication in 1998 and a Master's degree in Mass Media & New Communication Technologies in 1999.Stephanie's career spanned consultancy at Cambridge Technology Partners to organizing events for the Atlanta Business Chronicle, but she made a lasting mark at The Hinman Dental Society. At Hinman, Stephanie wore many hats over her 22½ years, rising from Meetings Manager to Exhibits Manager to Convention Manager and finally Senior Meetings & Education Manager, working closely with trustees, members, exhibitors, and dental students.

A Certified Exhibition Manager (CEM), she was known for her tireless energy, her quick wit, and her willingness to jump in wherever she was needed — often the last person to leave an event. For the past three years, she volunteered her time to the Roatan Dental Outreach program in Honduras, working alongside dentists and dental students to bring dental care to underserved communities, and leaving behind a testament to her impact with the cards from students that filled her office walls. On April 20, 2002, Stephanie married Jinsue Park in Atlanta, GA. Together they raised twins,Avery and Connor, who were the light of her life.Stephanie was, above all else, a community builder. She recently rallied her son, Connor, and her neighbors to help an elderly neighbor maintain his yard when he no longer could, turning a simple favor into a neighborhood-wide effort. She was an avid walker who cherished the conversations and time spent with friends.

She had a deep love for animals, adopting her beloved chihuahua mix, Tiger Woods, volunteering with a local shelter to help dogs find homes, fostering and ultimately adopting a vigorous mountain cur pitbull mix named Randy.Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Zapico, grandmother, Jean Dawes Manley, and her aunt and adoptive mother, The Honorable Jeanne Dawes Crenshaw. She is survived by her husband, Jinsue Park; her children, Avery and Connor Park; and her brothers, Edwin Allen Dawes (Stacey) Schwartz of Hummelstown, PA, LCDR (Ret.) Ashly Herbert(Carrie) Schwartz of Virginia Beach, VA, and Herbert Joseph "Jody" Crenshaw IV.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Marietta Funeral Home.
