Dr. Suzanne Kim Whitmore of Marietta, Georgia passed away on February 25, 2021. A memorial service will be held on March 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Marietta Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia, with visitation from 12:00 through 2:00 p.m. A second service will also be held at her final resting place in the Los Angeles, California area, at a time and date to be announced.

Dr. Whitmore was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in the Los Angeles, California area. She was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, and Tulane School of Public Health, where she earned a PhD in Epidemiology. Dr. Whitmore worked as an Epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to professional and educational accomplishments, Dr. Whitmore was married in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is remembered for her dedication to her family. She enjoyed exploring new restaurants, and her social personality was well-regarded amongst her numerous friends and colleagues.

Dr. Whitmore is survived by her husband, Eric Whitmore, Esq.; sons, Alexander and Ian Whitmore; mother, Hong Ja Kim; and sisters, Julienne Kim Lee and Lilliene Kim Shin.
