Suzy Mae Price, 78, of Woodstock, GA, passed into the loving arms of God on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Born on December 5, 1943, to Susie and Woodson Fitch in Harlem, New York, Suzy immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Fiercely independent and determined, she put herself through nursing school and went on to pursue a degree in Nursing, at Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. Her nurturing spirit and interest in mental health led her to a career as a psychiatric nurse for more than 30 years.

In 1974, she met Marvin La Valle Price Sr., the love of her life. After a whirlwind romance of three months, the two were certain that they were meant to spend their lives together. Marvin and Suzy were inseparable from that point on and were married for over 47 years. Their love brought two beautiful children into the world, Marvin and Nikki, whom she adored more than anything in the world.

Suzy was known for her quick wit, intellect, infectious sense of humor, and smile that lit up every room she entered. She loved everyone and everyone loved her! She was deeply interested in the lives of her friends and family and couldn't resist a good love connection. She was known as "The Matchmaker" who brought multiple couples together in the Fitch family. Suzy was wise beyond her years, yet down to earth and a great listener. She made everyone feel at ease and accepted in her presence. Above all, she was known for the selfless love she had for her family. The void left by Suzy's absence is impossible to fill.

Suzy was predeceased by her parents Susie and Woodson Fitch, and her siblings Albert, Helen, Ernest, and Edward. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Marvin Sr., son Marvin Jr., daughter Suzanne (Nikki), brother Bill, daughter-in-law Shantay, and two grandchildren Alexis and Jordan Price. She is forever loved and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 12:00 (noon) in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.
