Troy Sims Jr., 80, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on April 15, 2024.

Troy was born on May 8, 1943 in Murphy, NC and moved to Marietta, GA as a child. He graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1961. Troy spent his career working for Insurance Services Offices and the State of Georgia. An avid golfer and fisherman, Troy spent many hours on the links and the banks. Troy spent the last years of his life being cared for by his significant other, Peggy Hutson. Per Troy's wishes, there will be no service at this time.

Troy is survived by Peggy Hutson (Significant Other), Bill Sims (Son), Tony Sims (Son), Linda Blalock (Sister), and Greg Blalock (Nephew). He is preceded in death by Nora Schrier Harris (Mother), George Schrier (Step-Father), Jane Crowder Sims Garrett (Former Wife), Tim Blalock (Brother-in-Law), and Cherry Hutson (special friend), who he loved dearly.
