Wallace Leon
Carter Jr
Sep 7, 1950 — Apr 19, 2026
Marietta
Wallace Leon Carter Jr., a devoted husband, loving father, proud Marine veteran, and lifelong outdoorsman, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on September 7, 1950, Wallace lived a life marked by loyalty, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that made life meaningful.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Wallace carried the values of service, discipline, and honor throughout his life. After his military service, he pursued his education at Georgia Medical College, where he trained as a Dental Lab Technician. He went to work for Flowers Bread Company for 421/2 year as a salesman.
Wallace found his greatest happiness in the outdoors. He loved camping, especially spending long stretches at the beach in the RV, where he could relax, breathe in the ocean air, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of coastal life. He was also an avid fisherman, happiest with a rod in hand and the water stretching out before him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Carter; his children Michelle Gould, David Brown, Helen Lindeborg, Leon Carter, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.
