Walter Anthony "Tony" Tinsley, 69, of Marietta passed away January 5, 2026.  A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the Chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, 12:00-2:00pm.

Tony was a hard-working Brick mason his entire life. Loved it and had a great passion for building things. A great husband and the best father imaginable.  A fierce protector of his family.  He loved Jesus Christ.  Was baptized 8 yrs ago.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing, spending time with the grandkids and family, painting, growing flowers and gardening in the spring and summer.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Barbara Tinsley and his siblings Janice and Tommy Tinsley.

Leaves behind a lifetime partner Marie Tinsley, a sister Darlene Dune, a daughter and son-in-law Joni Tinsley and TJ Jenkins, a daughter and son-in-law Candace and Rhett Varner, six grandchildren Tehya Jenkins, Aiyana Jenkins, Wyatt Landers, Gavin, Marisa, and Fletcher Varner, three great grandchildren Jayce, Elise, and Merlin Varner.
