Zanifer "Zaney" Kumar, 71, of Marietta, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and a funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 14, both at Marietta Funeral Home. The family asks that everyone please wear white to the service.

Zaney will be remembered by all as a kind spirit who loved children.  She left her mark on this world through the countless lives she touched as a teacher at Crabapple Academy for over 25 years.  She was also known for her amazing cooking skills and mouth watering dishes.  Everything she made was always made with love...it was her secret ingredient.

Zaney is survived by her husband, Kris Kumar; children, Vidya Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, and Videsh Kumar; daughter in laws, Amanda Kumar and Anuradha Kumar; grandchildren,  Ayden Kumar and Avayah Kumar.
